Zendeli takes Walter Benjamin's terms, the here and the now, as the guiding idea of the show: the space a work occupies and the moment it is seen in are treated as part of it rather than as the conditions for seeing it.
The two and three dimensional installations are built to be moved around rather than looked at. Defined time, the viewer's movement and the light together generate the work, which makes the audience an active participant in its meaning. Among them are six hung cubic structures, three small and three large, the largest reaching two metres, distributed through the gallery so that they answer the architecture already there.
The works are made by combining wood, textiles and recycled elements. The curator reads the show as a form of artistic protest, with a layered narrative that sets personal experience against collective memory and the social and economic situation in North Macedonia. The process deliberately leaves room for chance, so the final outcome is not entirely under the artist's control.
Her closing point is that the exhibition is not the end of his research but a phase of it, a micro-presentation pointing at something larger still to come.
